Postage and Handling Information For Roses (Scroll down for trees)
We are located Here -> 167 Bay Road, Mount Gambier (1.3kms South of the Blue Lake) for pickups.
Delivery Area - We deliver Australia wide with conditions below.
We aim to offer the lowest priced mail order roses in Australia and supply only top quality 2 year old roses.
Our bush rose prices remain at $10.95 with Plant Breeders Right (PBR) and charity/ Royalty varieties the cost is a little more than that.
We take pride in growing our roses ‘how roses used to be grown’ so you the customer get very good quality roses. Our digging of dormant (bare rooted) roses commences around Mid May depending on the season and goes on right through until the last row is lifted, which can be in August. Late orders after our cut off date will be dispatched as quickly as possible and in the order in which they come in, so make sure you get in early!
Postage and Handling
As with the cost of our Roses, we keep freight to a minimum (lets face it, who wants to pay for freight when you can have more lovely roses !!). We wrap the roses in such a way to keep the Postage / courier costs to a minimum, so you are not paying for air.
We charge you what Australia Post / couriers charges us and we are continually amazed at how well the post is very economical, not exorbitant P& P like many online rose sellers.
We also utilize all the main Courier companies such Toll. Ipec, etc. and have a website to put in all the details of weight etc. to come up with the best freight pricing.
Also remember with Standard roses and weeping Roses being longer, it is worth filling out these boxes with bush roses or other trees, fruit trees and perennials as this will significantly make your order more worthwhile.
We can give you an indicative price for the same amount of roses to your order from last season to a similar postcode to yours if you wish.
Remember roses are a living plant and we dig them up especially for you. The roses you order may contain a variety that is dug from Row 1, row 100 and Row 800, therefore we have to dig the entire rows in sequence and collate your order from there. Please do not be concerned if you have not heard from us, we will be busy getting your order together and often it can be that last illusive one that can hold up your order.
Sometimes we are challenged by Mother Nature and we have installed
extra drainage again to allow the tractors to undercut even when we have
heavy rain, as this has caused delays in past seasons.

With the huge range of Trees on offer and and in many sizes/ grades it’s impossible for us to list all of the prices of each and every tree on our website.Specific information and photos for each can be gained by googling the name of the tree, please bare in mind a lot of websites may be from overseas and the information is not accurate for Australian conditions and even within Australia dimensions can vary markedly. Please contact us using the Enquiry Form or by phone to get professional advice to your area/ conditions .
We take great pride in growing our trees and fruit trees with stock available all year round. In Winter we offer Dormant Trees (often referred to as Bare rooted trees) for deciduous varieties and shipping of these items is slightly easier through Australia Post but we use all methods as outlined below.
As with the cost of our trees, we keep freight costs to a minimum by utilising our low contracted rates via several freight portals as well as Australia Post (where we have flat rate parcel rates Australia wide ) to source the cheapest price for your freight, this can be from all the major couriers such as Toll, Ipec, TNT, Allied and many more thus ensuring you are not paying too much for freight (afterall , who wants to pay freight when you can have more plants instead !! ) Approximate Freight can be quoted if you prefer before proceeding, however once packed we try to keep the volume and weights down as much as possible and only then will we get an accurate cost.
Other plants can be combined with your trees, including berries, perennials, roses etc and this will make you freight even more cost effective.
Despatch/ Waiting times
Remember trees are a living plant and particularly in the case of Dormant (bare rooted trees) the digging process from the paddock can take months ! Even though you may have ordered early in the year to secure your trees, we still have to wait to the correct time to process them and pack and this is often one of the busiest times from June- September and Spring and of course Christmas.
Please DO NOT be concerned if you have not heard from us a we will be busily getting orders together to send as fast as we can. If you need by a certain date we will always try to accommodate this/ however it cannot be guaranteed. Similarly with potted stock, whilst it maybe growing away we simply get inundated with orders and try to turn orders around in 10 days to 2 weeks depending on the volume of orders ahead of yours. Some orders may leave the same day !!
If you have any questions please send through your enquiry on the “Enquiry Form” and we are more than happy to answer your queries.
